Considering that this was the first gansey I’ve made and the fact that I “made it up” with a LOT of input from this site to help me (thank you Gordon!) I am delighted at how well it turned out. I made a mistake in working out the sleeve pattern, which rankles, but only real gansey folk would know. Otherwise it went together very easily, though I did get about four inches up and then decided it was wrong, undid it all and started again.
I’ve now embarked on a new gansey cardigan – if it works I’ll post pictures when it’s done.
That is a lovely gansey Sara. Did you have any problems knitting it up?

Beautifully knit and blocked/steamed/pressed! The neckline is superb.
Any progress on a cardigan? I have the second sleeve to go on mine.
