Let the wind blow high, let the wind blow low,
Through the streets in my natty red gansey I’ll go,
All the lassies shout “Hello!
Henry, where’s your troosers?”
Thanks for all you very kind comments. Henry has been in Manchester with me recently. He spent most of the time entertaining my nieces. He’s a tad tired now and looking forward to some well-earned rest. And trousers … yes!
Thanks Gordon. This will keep me motivated. Pictures aren’t good, it’s navy in real life! I’ll hope for some sunshine and take some better photos of it then
Yes, quite a lovely blue gansey for its color and pattern. And, delighted to find Henry and his red gansey again, lost one time. So, tell me, is Henry still single?
Henry looks quite dapper.
Nigel, Henry needs gansey trousers !
Judit, to paraphrase the old Scots popular song:
Let the wind blow high, let the wind blow low,
Through the streets in my natty red gansey I’ll go,
All the lassies shout “Hello!
Henry, where’s your troosers?”
Join in with the chorus…
And for those who’d like to sing along, here’s the tune: http://youtu.be/2rUB8TcNKX0

Hi Margaret,
Many thanks for the tune. I played it already for myself on my kantele :).

I have fallen in love with Henry. Is he single?
Ha ha. He is, but he won’t take his gansey off. He’s had it on for two years!
Congratulations to the gansey. The pattern is graet and it fits perfect.
What is your next project ? 🙂
Thank you Judit for your kind comment. I am planning something similar, perhaps with flags and ropes etc.
Beautiful work. You should be very proud! Congratulations.
Thank you Jane. It was all worthwhile
Hello Nigel and congrats to the blue gansey ! Nice color, perfect fit ! What is your next project ?
Best regards and happy knitting !

Oh my, that is indeed a fine gansey! I like the touch of contrast blue, sets the pattern off nicely.
